Is it stable in wind or bad weather?

I’m not very handy, is it hard to assemble?

PORTABLE AND RETRACTABLE WASHING LINE (HEAVY DUTY)
As a family of 3, this has been a great addition to the garden to dry our clothes. I've never had a washing line this sturdy and spacious to fit plenty on before!

V efficient company to deal with.
I recently moved to a house with a small back garden, and the rotary airer was fixed into the ground, visible from the kitchen window and obtrusive when we sit in the garden. I chose the High and Dry line for its mobility. It arrived promptly with no damage or missing parts. My husband (64, average DIY skills) assembled in a couple of hours using the online guide and paper handbook. It is sturdy and easily takes two machine loads of washing. It is easy to hang the washing on the 16 washing lines, and the overhang for bedding etc. works well. Overall it is a quality product but there are a couple of caveats regarding retracting and opening the line, which I wish I’d known before I purchased it. Each time the line is opened or retracted the locking nut needs to be removed and reinserted, and this is fiddly. When the line is retracted, the locking nut is almost as high as the airer (180cm) and as I’m 5ft 2 I can’t remove it, although my husband can. When retracted, the line needs to be placed against a solid vertical surface, and depending on the surface, can be secured against it. We place our line against a side wall, but it is not possible to secure it. This isn’t a problem as it is safe, but it does affect how the line is opened and retracted: two people are needed to open and retract - so I can’t doe this on my own - but if it can be secured it can be a one person manoeuvre.
I thought long and hard about this purchase as it is very expensive but its well made and very robust and I'm loving the fact I can dry my washing then hide the line away and it doesn't detract from my garden in the evening when I want to chill out and enjoy it.
